Specialty Drugs (SRx)
In order for certain specialty drugs to be covered under Health Plus' pharmacy plan, prescriptions for these drugs must be filled through Medco Specialty Pharmacy our exclusive, single-source provider for selected specialty drugs.  The Specialty Drug List provides both an alphabetical listing by drug on page 1 and an alphabetical listing by drug and J-code on page 2 (the lists contain the same drugs, but the latter provides J-codes).

Quantity Limitations (QL)
For certain medications, your doctor or pharmacist is required to first contact Medco if the prescription is written for more then a certain allowed amount.   Your doctor or pharmacist can request approval by calling Medco at 1-800-417-1915.  If the requested quantity is approved, the prescription will be filled.

Prior Authorization Requests (PAR)
Specific drugs require prior authorization by your doctor or pharmacist before a prescription can be filled.  Your doctor or pharmacist can request authorization by calling Medco at 1-888-248-4670.  If the drug is approved, the prescription will be filled.
